Dreaming of St. Augustine...

Do you have a favorite vacation spot?
That place that you constantly
dream
of going back to?

If you close your eyes, you feel like you're there...
That place for me (well, one of them..) is
 St. Augustine, Florida.

Have you ever been?
It's labeled as
"the oldest city in the United States"
and you can literally feel the history
when you walk down its cobblestone roads
filled with unique shops and quaint restaurants.

I lived in Jacksonville (about 45 minutes north)
for a couple of years (on and off),
but I dreamed
of living in St. Augustine
SOMEDAY.

I still have family in Jacksonville,
and though we don't get to visit very often,
we ALWAYS take
a day trip
to St. Augustine
when we're there.

If you've never been...you should go!
Visit one of the many bed and breakfasts,

take a ghost tour,
climb the stairs of the "haunted" lighthouse
(any Ghost Hunters/T.A.P.S. fans?)

dine on the balcony of a historic restaurant
while overlooking the water,

visit the old fort,
take a carriage ride down the old cobblestone roads,
spend a day at the beach,
shop 'til you drop,

visit the Fountain of Youth....

There's so much fun to be had!

Perhaps someday I'll live there
and own my own shop on
historic St. George Street.

A woman can dream...
