I NEED MORE HOMES!

Is there anyone else out there who feels that they need more homes
to satisfy their
decorating desires?
Being a Libra (a very TRUE libra might I add),
I am very indecisive,
(and romantic).
My home has evolved over the years from
Italian to French
 to Farmhouse / Primitive Country
 to Shabby English Cottage,
you get the picture?
I've always been passionate about antiques and vintage furnishings,
but let's face it...
I NEED SEVERAL HOMES
to satisfy all of my tastes in home decor!
I want a cottage in the country,
an English cottage in the countryside
(like in the movie "The Holiday"),

(this one deserved 2 photos!)

a loft in New York City,

an apartment in Italy,

a home in the French countryside,

a farmhouse in the country,

a log cabin in the woods,

a cottage near the beach,

a Victorian mansion,

My current home is an eclectic, confused mixture of all of the above!
(but somehow it blends...)
My kitchen is kind of farmhouse country with French accents.
My bedroom is like a shabby French cottage.
My basement is an old Hollywood theatre.
My daughter's room is a whimsical garden with
cupcakes and teacups,and roses.
My dining room, living room
and my den (AKA Bailey's playroom)
is vintage French cottage.
SO...right now my home appears to be...

A SHABBY VINTAGE FRENCH COTTAGE FARMHOUSE
WITH HOLLYWOOD CHARM AND A WHIMSICAL GARDEN????

The changes occur with the changing of the seasons...
in the spring, I prefer blues and greens.
In Summer, I prefer whites.
In the Fall, I go for greens, browns, and cream colors.
Winter brings more white with touches of silver
and ofcourse, red and green.

I think there's just SO many beautiful styles out there that
I have to bless my home with all of them
and because of my ever changing mind...
I think I'll discard some of my "former" treasures
(consignment ofcourse)
to bring in some
NEW TREASURES!

  3. I SO agree! I have such a hard time no allowing my home to become "schizophrenic" in it's theme -- country French, Swedish, Victorian, cottage... and on it goes! :)

Love your solution, though! A house for each style!! Think we can swing it? Think our hubbies will go for it? :)

Love your blog and am now following it!

  4. Hi Destiny!

So glad you came by my blog and thanks for following! I just have to tell you...as I looked at your blog and your shop and read a few of your post....we have SO much in common!!! You sound like me...indecisive, change my decor with the seasons(we like the same colors for each season, too), our love of vintage treasures, AND I love the look of your blog itself. I love, love, love birds! That header is fab! I almost picked it for my blog a while back. See...so much alike! Oh, and I own Jeanne's Ruffle tote, too!!

I can't wait to keep up with your blog now. Oh, and don't forget to enter the giveaway on my blog. Have a great weekend!

    Hugs,
